Early 1 Morning
Movement 1 : Tenor sax beginning before a tempo can be smoother. Alto sax at a tempo, you are not the melody. Melody belongs to the flutes! Bar 21,please build up your crescendo slowly but sound dont drop upon reaching highest point.Bar 27,alto sax, last beat is a tie to the next bar, dont ever tongue there.
Movement 2 : Tenor sax 2nd bar the A,it's meant to be heard~ Bar 25, bari sax, play with confidence! Bar 33,alto sax, you're taking the lead here,it's a soli for alto 1 and alto 2. Mrlim wants a crescendo for the set of quavers but it does not mean start loud. Play it for Emily.Bar 49,hold back your sound. The climax is bar 57! Bar 65,melody belongs to the flutes. 2nd alto, bar 75,shape your notes properly and watch. 1st alto at bar 75 dont need come out so much.
Movement 3 : 4th bar, alto sax. You come in on the off beat after bari sax. Tenor sax, semi quavers! Jiayou! Our main concern is bar 33 :D Imagine a big man and a big woman holding hands dancing! Have a bold entrance. I believe the sound here can be much better,it's our time to shine :D Have a big sound, just imagine folk dancers. Bar 43 belongs to the flutes too. Bar 59,give way to tuba and horn. Bar 75,alto sax, you're playing this set of melody with 2nd trumpets. Have a bouncy feeling and watch those semi quavers.
Overall, spread out the quavers evenly, this is so not swing. Imagine in the morning when you just woke up,you take a scroll in the garden, smelling the dew. The sun is raising,it's a calm, slow, heart warming process.
Here's something that Miss Wong forgot. For the La Paloma option bar(s), EAT BANANAS! Wait till i buy bananas from the market and give it to you guys during camp -___-
